SIDE PROJECT

The time has come for East Mississippi's Side Project to break their way into the music scene with their debut album to be released this spring. Influences like 311, Korn, and Tool, they've established a definitive sinewy, no-nonsense delivery of alternative rock.

The voice of Side Project Jeremy Doss began his singing career as a gospel singer for his church choir. He later became inspired by the free-spirit rock of "No Doubt", "…thank god for Gwen Stefani". As the bands lyricist, Jeremy's soulful and progressive vocals reflect not only his deep gospel roots, but help to create a uniquely smooth, yet graphical image for the band.

Lead and rhythm guitarist, Robert McPherson has been playing since he was fourteen with influences such as Blink 182, Incubus, and 311. His playing technique and precision is impeccable, leading the band into new heights of self-expression.

Matt Maloney on drums and Danny Murphy on bass bring forth a rock rhythm with a snippet of ska. Danny likes to bring funk to the table with his popping bass and his
"Crazy, scientific/artistic approach to music". Their differences are shown through out the album; making "music for the mass".

Rave revues have come from their most recent shows such as last year's Market Street Festival, The Princess Theatre, and 2003's Roast and Boast. Keep in touch for their up and coming performances!
